At JoVi, our primary purpose in planning a litter is to advance the JoVi bloodlines and contribute meaningfully to the future of the Border Collie. We have very few litters, and each one is carefully planned to ensure quality, integrity, and alignment with our values.
Our program is built on six foundational pillars: temperament, health, genetics, intelligence, biddability, and work ethic. We breed only from dogs who exemplify these traits, with the goal of producing Border Collies who are as sound in mind and body as they are beautiful to behold.
We’ve always focused on a small number of elite dogs—because excellence requires intention. And while our puppies are bred to the highest standard, they are placed exclusively in homes that value them as lifelong companions. We do not place puppies for breeding purposes.
JoVi puppies receive extraordinary care from the very beginning—well beyond the standard. Our mothers are supported with thoughtful nutrition and veterinary care before and during pregnancy. We’re present for every birth and hands-on through every stage, ensuring each puppy’s early development is guided with care and attention.
This labor-intensive approach results in puppies that are healthy, socialized, and developmentally prepared to thrive. JoVi puppies are ready to go home at 10 weeks of age, prepared to bring lasting joy and connection to the families that welcome them.

How much does a JoVi Border Collie puppy cost?
JoVi Border Collie puppies are priced starting at $4,000. We understand that this is a significant investment, and we want you to know exactly why.
We live and raise our dogs in a high cost-of-living area, which directly impacts the resources required to maintain the high standards of care we believe every dog deserves. In addition, identifying and securing the right breeding partners for our program is a time-intensive and costly endeavor—requiring thorough research, travel, and health testing. Every litter represents years of planning and an unwavering commitment to advancing the breed.
The result? A JoVi puppy is not just a pet, but a carefully bred Border Collie with exceptional breed type, structure, and temperament. These are the kinds of dogs rarely made available outside of top show or performance homes—but we’re proud to make them accessible to discerning families who simply want the best.

Step 1 - Read Before You Apply
Before submitting an application, please review all the information on this page to understand our process and values. The application is located at the bottom of the page so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
Step 2 - Submit Your Application
Completing the application helps me learn more about you and your family—your lifestyle, daily activities, and what you're looking for in a companion—so I can thoughtfully match you with the puppy that best fits your home and heart. The application is located at the end of the page, following key details about our process that I ask you to review before submitting.
Step 3 - Virtual Consultation Call
Once you’ve submitted your application, I will carefully review the information you’ve provided. Within 7–10 business days, I’ll reach out to schedule a virtual meeting at a mutually convenient time.
During this call, we’ll discuss your application in detail, address any questions you may have, and determine if we’re the right fit for each other. This is an important step to ensure a good match between your family and a JoVi puppy.
Step 4 - Join the Reservation List
f we both agree that it’s a great match during our consultation call, I will add you to our reservation list. This list allows me to keep in touch and notify you as soon as we have a planned litter that fits your preferences.

Step 5 - Deposit and Contract Review
When our puppies reach approximately three weeks of age, I will contact you to confirm your place and begin accepting deposits. Waiting until this stage is intentional—it allows me to ensure the viability of the litter and confirm that all puppies are happy, healthy, and sound before moving forward.
Before any deposit is accepted, we’ll review the contract together so that all terms are clear and transparent. I’ll also be happy to answer any questions you may have during this time.
Step 6 - Prepare for Your Puppy
After your deposit is placed, you’ll receive a comprehensive preparation checklist to help you get ready for your puppy’s arrival. This guide will include recommended supplies, tips for setting up your home, and advice to ensure a smooth and confident transition for both you and your JoVi puppy.
